For those of you who know us as gruffy salad and goat farmers, it’s worth mentioning that Ali and I got to know each other over the flames of a cooktop. Though we sold cheese together and I tried to charm her with all the bravado I could muster on the sales floor of the boutique cheese shop, it was over her enthusiasm for her first braised lamb shanks and the meticulousness with which she stuffed strawberries full of chevre in her creaky Chicago apartment that I fell in love. These days, we rarely have the bandwidth to cook for groups as we did years ago, and indulge in a skill and passion that really fills us both with joy. And, there is a part of this dinner that serves as a great opportunity for us to enjoy cooking together again - the pleasure of delicious food that happily reflects the place where it was grown. Sure, it’ll be lots of work, and we are reasonably nervous about the execution, but it’ll be fun too, and I hope you will join us for a special evening of Farm to Table fare and a good time.

1st - Charcuterie, cheese, pickled veggies and preserves.
2nd - Roasted Pumpkin wedge, labneh, za’tar and winter greens
3rd - Cream of Winter Spinach soup with Pork Belly lardons
4th - Turnip-potato mash, slow roasted Chuck Roast, Viennese Cucumbers
5th - Yogurt cake with Blackberries and poached pears
